16. Which of the things below do you think are significant causes of conflict between teenagers and the law? Explain how they contribute to the problem.

Parents, the police, school, TV and film, the urban environment

There are so many significant causes of conflict between teenagers and the law. Among them the urban environment and TV and films are more significant to raise the problem. Teenagers are attracted to television programmes and film events. They tend to be musician, singer, dancer, actor, and actress. They start to be famous personalities. The urban environment is another significant cause of conflict between teenagers and the law. They see their modern fashions, dresses, costumes and they try to get such facilities. They steal; fight each other, which are against the law. Other responsible factors are parent’s attitudes, and behaviour, school education, and the social factors.

Police should be alert in the matter. The media should be conscious because it is also affect their own children too. Parents should be practical and they must realize only money is not everything. It should be kept in the school curriculum as well.
