My Hobbies
A hobby is an activity that is done for pleasure when we are not working. People like to spend their time in gardening, collecting stamps, coins, drawing pictures, taking photographs, sightseeing, listening music, watching movie etc. So we should enjoy with our hobbies. It shouldn't be harmful. We should care others rights while enjoying our hobbies. A hobby gives pleasure as well as instruction.
I am fond of watching movie. I specially watch Hollywood movies and interested to all over the world. The movies are very strong, about science fiction, politics, police, army, war, love, hate, kill and heroism of female not only male. These features are found in Chinese, Thailand, American, Russian, African and English's movies. I have got a lot of knowledge of history, geography, culture, science and technology, arts and several others. Now I know the names of many countries, cultures, social norms, peoples which were formerly unknown to me.
Foreign films are highly beneficial, and often more enjoyable than the films from one’s own country. The best reasons to watch foreign films are that they are so imaginative. You may discover a whole new world. Foreign movies give you a great opportunity to pick up language skills. You'll discover some interesting, clever, innovative inspiration. Watching foreign films allows one to learn more about other countries’ customs and cultures, and promotes understanding. It allows us to see the human sides of each other in a world torn apart by war and social problems. Foreign films also feel more creative or interesting to us because they are made through the eyes of someone who lives in a totally different culture and part of the world than you. Films often have weighty, meaningful morals. This brings all countries together, in the world.
There is no denying that movies today are more violent than ever before. And it is very clear with the shootings at schools by kid and teenagers that they are being heavily influenced by violence shown is movies. Some movies portray certain subjects or themes in a way which is far from real. Such portrayals establish false notions amongst the people. Majority of the Hollywood movies have nudity and vulgar scenes. Movies generate the idea that it is cool to break law or that it is not a big deal to break law. This attitude is picked up very easily and quickly by the young people.
There are always and there always be ‘Two Sides of a Coin’, similarly, there are merits and demerits of films as well. Many of you may not find advantages of the movies but it is not only the waste of time and money. It gives you a lot of knowledge too but it depends on you.
