need of things.
The
statement com can also be proved by the story at of lost Child self as an

was also about to be under attack. John Milton wrote this poem /sonnet in order
to request the government to provide protection to the people of England and
specially the poets and writer as they hold a lot of power. John Milton
believed that parts were very powerful as they hold the power to make people

18. Explain the following extract with reference to the context:
'Have taught to ignorant
men most violent ways,
Or hurled the little
streets upon the great,
Had they but courage equal
to desire?
What could have made her
peaceful with a mind.'
The given
lines are taken from the poem 'No second Troy' written by William Butler Yeats.
The poem is based on the war of independence of Ireland between 1919 and 1921
A.D. The poem is written by writer as a dedication to his beloved.
The above
lines talks about the things that the writer's beloved; an Irish
Revolutionalist Moud Gonne did back in the year 1919. She was a very passionate
and beautiful woman who had taught violence to the ignorant people of Ireland.
In order to make Ireland independent she had incited the feeling of patriotism
in the hearts of innocent people of Ireland. The result of it was very bad as
so many people died. Ireland became a separate country but with the bloods of
thousands of innocent people. But the poet doesn't criticize her entirely; he
also praises her for being the voice of voiceless back then. If she wasn't
there, there would not be anyone to speak up for the people.
So, the
poem talks about how Gonne brought war and violence in innocent people's life
but also commend for what she did.
19. How does class perspective criticism give consciousness to the
oppressed people to unite and fight? Does gender perspective seek for the
coexistence of male and female? Give reason.
The class
perspective criticism talks about the Marxist theory propounded by Karl Marx.
The Marxist theory talks about how the world is divided into two groups of the
'Haves' and 'Haves not'. How the 'Haves' in their lives get richer and poor
always keep getting poor. This is also what the class perspective looks at.
The class
perspective talks about the economic condition of the society. If there is a
class struggle among the two groups which is the powerful ones and all. The
class perspective criticism gives consciousness to the people to stand up and
fight as they realize that no matter what they do they won't be able to raise
their standards. So after a while all the poor will raise against the rich and
equality will come.
The class
perspective criticism gives consciousness to the oppressed people to unite and
fight in above given ways.
Gender perspective is the perspective or theory of literature
which helps to see a literary work from the lenses of different gender. The
process of analyzing, evaluating and interpreting a literary work by asking
different question such as: Does the gender of the character bring changes in
the story? Or is the gender portrayed similar to real life? And so on is known
as gender criticism.
Gender
perspective doesn't just talk about a particular gender. It gives thoughts to
all the genders present out there. It doesn't bring gender down for the sake of
the other. Gender perspective seeks for the coexistence of male and female as
well. A world of literature where there is no gender biasness and women and men
can do whatever they want to is the theory of gender coexistence. Male
and female being equal to one another is the process of gender coexistence.
Gender
perspective gives us general view on how a gender is portrayed in a literature.
The saying 'No woman is born a woman, but made one' also is a topic of gender
perspective.
