60. You are now living in one of the
flats you visited. Write a letter to a friend, describing what it’s like living
there and what the people there are like.

Dear Naresh,
I was delighted to receive your letter this morning. You know that after passing the SLC, I came to Kathmandu for my further study. I did not have any relatives here so I went to my friend’s room to share for a few days. Then I was looking for a room or a flat near the campus.
I visited many flats and with a great difficulty, I found a room in dill bazaar. Now I am alone in my room but in the flat there are other people. The environment of the flat is quite good. Though drinking water is not sufficient, I can manage anyhow. I’ve just introduced myself with the people living in the flat. We sometimes help each other. The only defect of this flat is that sometimes my flat mates play the radio in high volume. Though it disturbs my study, I’ve not told them anything yet. I’ve tolerated the sound pollution till now. I think if I request them, they will certainly control it.
I share the bathroom and toilet of the flat. I don’t have a separate kitchen. I cook food in a corner of my room. If I share another kitchen, it costs more. So for a student like me this single room is all right. Don’t forget to write to me about yourself. Convey my regards and respects to your father and mother.
With best regards,
Darshan
