"According to BIOCHEMISTS the materials that make up the Human body are only worth 97 cent."

Summary

The author got a humorous birth day card from his daughter and son- in- law. On the card 'A human is 97 worth of chemicals' is written. Then the writer decided to check this. He looked up the cost of all the chemicals in human body. The cost of the chemicals varies from $2.95 to $175500000 per gram. The author weighed his body, cut off 68% water from the body, and came in conclusion that his dry weight would cost about $ 6000015.14. However this is only an elementary evaluation. More detailed evaluation leads the author to longer figures. By comparing 97 and six million dollar, he argues that purified chemicals are more expensive.

Still, there arises another question. If somebody assembles all the chemicals together, he couldn't make a man. Even, he joins all the human chemicals; he won't make a man with sense, emotion, and reason. The human cost may arise thousand trillions; still the price would not be reasonable.

It becomes clear to the author that human beings do not have a cost. They are priceless. Human body is immeasurable element. We can not create human being by using parts of chemicals. Human being with the capacity of thinking and feeling is priceless. It is stupidity to think human beings in terms of material value.
